Founder’s Message: 2025 Recap
Founder’s Message: 2025 Recap
Welcome, friends!
I am thrilled to invite you to read our first newsletter issue for CAREducation Foundation. Our nonprofit public charity supports CAREducation and our CAREvolution movement to empower caring, learning-centered education worldwide.
Who We Are
The design of today’s educational systems and how each learner is guided directly affects tomorrow’s lived reality for all. CAREvolution—our movement and revolution of care in education and community learning—unites learners of all ages to co-design new pathways for thriving futures. This reimagination and retake of education and learning culture advances our shared universal values of collaboration, curiosity, compassion, and global citizenship. Through these values, we amplify the voices of the unheard, ignite the souls of those standing ready, and take action for justice and harmonious living.
CAREducation exists to operationalize this movement through:
maintaining equitable professional and student learning standards and “Life-Ready” graduation pathways through our evolving CARE Learning Framework;
accrediting excellent education and community learning programs;
leading student and professional learning and certification programs; and
facilitating transformative collaboration between caring youth and adults.
The founding parents, students, and educators at CARE have come together with a unifying mission—to empower students to thrive as caring, self-directed learners through real-world learning and reimagined education systems. In our vision, communities around the world enjoy access to both caring education and the resources to live with dignity, confidence, and connection.
CAREducation Foundation equips individuals and organizations in need with the means to walk boldly toward this future. CAREducation Foundation, now recognized as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt public charity, raises funds to provide scholarships, grants, and programming to caring students, educators, and education-focused organizations.
Our ecosystem unapologetically challenges the validity of existing education and related systems. Our traditional curricula, instruction and assessment methods, policies, and entire mindset and model of “school” and education must be reconstructed to reflect tomorrow’s societal needs. To promote real change and a sustainable new paradigm, we challenge and invite collaboration with our boards and departments of education. We challenge and invite collaboration with politicians, leaders, schools, and organizations. We challenge and invite collaboration with everyday individuals dissatisfied and ready to make a difference. We are better together.
Thank You!
Thank you for reading our first CAREducation Foundation newsletter to kick off 2026! There is much to celebrate from 2025 and look forward to this year.
Our revolutionary partnerships and programs launched this past year look to serve more students, families, and communities in the year ahead. In the next newsletter section, you’ll see pictures highlighting partners and programs we support:
We have been implementing innovative project-based student curriculum enhanced with our CARE Learning Framework, our research-based vision for a universal direction of curriculum and learning culture. The CARE Society, NOVA CARE Pod, and Root to Rise Microschool are leading ground-breaking student and community programs online and in-person starting in our first learning hub in Northern Virginia. These programs entirely serve populations whose needs are not being met through traditional systems.
Our partner Amigas Sin Fronteras led by Reina Vera is modelling how adult women from diverse backgrounds can freely lead, learn, and support each other through gatherings, volunteering, business events, retreats, and shared resources. CAREducation Foundation has provided grants and programming support to enhance adult learning and show how the concept of education can extend joyfully across any age.
The Learning Quest nonprofit is helping establish a city-wide learning ecosystem for youth and connecting our community with resources, learning opportunities, and outreach contacts. CAREducation Foundation and The Learning Quest frequently partner through conferences, hosted events, discovering existing organizations and potential partners, media communication, and the establishment of The Everything Library in our Alexandria learning hub.
We celebrate the incredible people, programs, and efforts paving the way for the future of education. I invite all readers to get involved in the revolution through donating, volunteering, and learning alongside us. Thank you for your support and engagement as we look ahead to the rest of the year!
With love,
Jimmy Edwards
